Risky Biz, inspired by a New Yorker article, follows Odds On Promotions, the creators behind outrageous competitions and challenges, devised with cash prizes in mind.

The eight-episode unscripted series offers a behind-the-scenes look at Odds On Promotions founder Mark Gilmartin and contest engineers Will Pemble and Joel Ifill as they plan games that are exciting and entertaining, while weighing the odds of success to ensure a contest that is neither too hard nor too easy to beat.

Challenges include punching your way out of a paper bag using novelty boxing gloves, climbing a slippery set of stairs angled at 60-degrees and covered in slime to open a treasure chest at the top, and picking a US$50,000 cash prize hidden in a stuffed toy while suspended 100-feet in the air as a human claw.
